The 4th edition of the annual international automotive design conference and exhibition, open to professionals and a wide public, will take place on September 18th in the National Technical Library in Prague – Dejvice, with ten presentations and an accompanying program.
There will be several cars on display and visitors will be able to test virtual prototyping, clay modelling, and become acquainted with some of the most modern designing tools from software to prototype building and 3D printing.
The event’s main organiser is AutoDesign&Styling magazine, a design magazine with eight years of history.
The event will host a number of reknown automotive designers, including Vice President of Ferrari Design Flavio Manzoni, Volvo Design Director Thomas Ingenlath and Qoros Head of Design Gert Hildebrand.
Among the speakers is Flavio Manzoni, Vice President of Ferrari Design, responsible for designing the LaFerrari, as well as the 6th-generation Volkswagen Golf.
Thomas Ingenlath, Volvo Design Director, who will introduce the Scandinavian brand’s new design language which is to have its world premiere a few days later at the Paris Auto Show with the new-generation XC90 model.
Other guest speakers include Gert Hildebrand, former Mini Chief Designer and currently Head of Design at Qoros and Julian Thomson, Jaguar’s Advanced Design Director.
The program will be enriched by technologically focused lectures directly related to automotive design and work of designers.
Novelties from the world of lighting technology will be introduced by company Varroc Lighting Systems, supplying headlights to car manufacturers such as Citroën, Škoda and Bentley.
Visitors will also have the chance to check software solutions for designers and try out digital drawing with the support of professional applications.
The 2014 edition will also feature a new Gallery, an exhibition showcasing a selection of projects by design graduates from worldwide transportation design universities.
The Gallery will be open to the public from September 15th to 20th in the National Technical Library Gallery in Prague.
